Hi all!

We're planning to get married in Tofino in August of 2013. It will be a fairly economical affair-- we're looking to get married on Long Beach, and are going to have the ceremony at the Tofino Community Hall. We're set for a caterer as well.

I'm just basically looking for any advice or insight my fellow Knot-ties can offer on anything at all about getting married in Tofino, since we are planning the wedding from afar. Any suggestions for florists, decoration rentals, etc? Did you bring much in from any of the larger cities nearby, like Nanaimo? Where did your guests stay? Were hotels good about blocking off rooms in advance? Any recommendations for a good place to stay for those of us arriving in advance?

    Hi and congrats. I am a Life Cycle celebrant in the area but right now I.m just writing about the area. If you are not so much into hotel accom. you might try Cheaterman Beach Vacations-they rent really modern condos right on Chesterman beach. I happen to like both Long Beach Lodge and Middle Beach Lodge. I like the cabins at Long Beach Lodge a lot.. There is a web site called Vancouver Island Wedding Ring you might want to have alook at as it taegets local wedding specialists on V.I.
    Also remember there are sites that rent vacation homes that may be an option for you. Hope all goes well for you and I know you can and will find the perfect spot.
