Bridesmaid Shoes

Hi girls!

My bridesmaids ordered their dresses from Aria.  They all picked different styles, but all of them are knee length and mauve dutchess satin.

I don't know why I didn't think of this before, but they are all asking me what shoes to buy. I'd like to just tell them to get the same color shoes, but I don't even know what would look good with the dresses.

Any suggestions that would look good with a mauve color? (purplish pink)

Thanks!

My bridesmaids are wearing a dark purple color, and I told them all to get silver shoes.  I know that metallics are in now (I'm a little bit of a shoe aficianado myself), so it shouldn't be a hard color to find.

Otherwise, white or black shoes would be simple to find too.  What is the other color(s) you're using for the wedding?  Could one of those be a good color for the shoes?

I think metallic (silver or gold) would be pretty and fancy and I feel like you can never go wrong with a pair of sexy black heels. Unless you're trying to achieve a certain look (or if they want to), their shoes don't have to match.

Ditto PP above.  I metallic gold or silver would look excellent, I think.  I was in a wedding a few years ago where the bride asked us to pick our own gold shoes and, surprisingly, I have worn the shoes a number of times after her wedding.  Give them a color and then they can pick their own!

I also think black would work with the dresses as well and, in that case, they may not even have to buy new shoes.  Most women have a black dress shoe in their closet already.

Yep, agree with all pp- silver, gold, or black.

I would just have them all wear black shoes that they have. Because they all have different styles anyway, they don't need to be matchy matchy. Personally, I don't see the point of buying all the same shoes for the bridesmaids. That said, Blue Tux has some awesome sales right now if you do decide to. I wouldn't make them buy them though. Just my 2 cents:)

thanks for the suggestions!  the colors of the wedding are pink and champagne gold, so maybe I'll go with a gold shoe to match the theme.

I def don't wan't everyone to match with the shoes..the dresses are all different so it wouldn't make much sense to have the same shoes.

Thanks for the tips, they were all very helpful!!!

I would agree on gold, I think that would look great, and I wear gold shoes all the time.

    Dusty Gold Metallic.
We bought some the "Jessica" style from Salon Shoes at The Left Bank in Chicago.
They're leather, super comfy and they can def. wear them again
