Russian River in October?

Has anyone been married at Dawn Ranch or in Russian River in general during mid-October? We're contemplating a 10/22/11 wedding, which is a headache in iteslf, but I'm also a bit weary about rain factor since it would be 100% outdoors. The average weather estimates say 75 during the day and rain is 2 inches for the whole month, but would LOVE some feedback from anyone with experience up there!

And...am I crazy for planning a wedding in 6 months?

    Early Octoberis usually really nice. The end half it gets cold and the rain starts.

    I hate to say It never rains in October, but as a wedding planner and wedding blogger for over 15 years-  October is my busiest month- especially n the wine country- 

    chances are better than most that you will have a gorgeous day for your celebration.  If you are looking for locations- check out all the great wine county options @ I Do Venues !!

    you can do it! 6 months is plenty of time. why prolong the stress of planning a wedding? good luck and im sure your venue will be beautiful.

    It's hard to say.  Last year that time was beautiful if I remember correctly.  We married in early October, and it was on the hot side for that time of year.
