I'm going back to my hometown this weekend for a bridal shower with my side of the family. My FMIL hosted one for me last month for FI's side.
This morning I got a snarky message from my cousin upset that she wasn't invited to the hometown shower. She lives 8 hours away! I would NEVER expect someone to drive 8 hours just to go to a shower, and I think an invitation would look greedy. BTW, my MOH (sister) put together the invite list. Do I have to apoligize for not asking her to drive 8 hours and buy me a gift I really don't need anyway?
FWIW, she only lives 4 hours from FI's family, but I didn't think it'd be nice to add guests to my FMIL's shower. Aren't most people relieved they don't get invited to showers?
