Ceremony Program Questions

A few questions about ceremony programs...

1. Should we indicate that we are not having a recieving line at the end of the ceremony? We are having a coffee hour in the church hall to kill time between the ceremony and the cocktail hour...wanted to put something like "the bride and groom will greet guests at cocktail hour. Please enjoy coffee, tea & light refreshments in the church hall immediatly following the ceremony"

2. Should we note on there that no one will be allowed into our reception venue until 6:30? I've been to some weddings where you could go right to the reception venue, and there would be places to sit just no food. Since our wedding is at the aquarium, they won't allow anyone in until 6:30, and I feel that guests should know this.

Thanks for thoughts in advance :)

Re: Ceremony Program Questions

  • I don't really have an answer for you but you bring up a good point with question #2, no one is allowed in to our venue until 5pm exactly, I never thought of including that. Too many details
  • yeah I kinda feel like you need to let your guest know that they can't be allow in the reception. I just image people trying to head early to the venue and then they end up waiting over an hour to get in. So i say yes to both, tell your guest that you will be doing the recieving line at cocktail hour and that venue doesn't open until 6:30
