Wedding Vows & Ceremony Discussions

the outside caterers issue

My bride-to-be & I hope to have a traditional Hindu wedding & an essential part of that is the "7 curries" smorgasbord served to guests at the end.

We hope to have the service done in a "fairy-tale" style so venues include castles, mansion etc.  YET so many of them give a staunch NO to outside catering.

What do you think?

Re: the outside caterers issue

  • What about "renting" a historic home?
Maybe check with the local chamber or commerce,  libraries [many librarians enjoy helping with local establishments & personal ceremonies :) ].
Your local,  depending on the age of the city,  may have a historical society that can help you find a local venue that will allow outside catering or has a caterer that is able (& willing) to provide your preferred cuisine.
Congrats to you & your fiance.  I pray that all goes well on your special day,  but also know that , no matter what you both have each other for the rest of your lives.  May it make you both smile always!
  • You could also contact some of the caterers you are interested in and ask THEM where they are welcome as an outside caterer.  You might get some really great ideas you would have not otherwise thought of.  Good luck!

I am only going by The Knot's Top Picks & browsing the stats so you are right, maybe a call/visit to the establishment would open some doors
