St Mary replica church in Kenner's Rivertown park

Has any one used this little church in Rivertown? Its called St mary's. its located inside the park and is a minature church that seats up to 45 people. Our guest list is 150. Would it be inappropriate to have guests stand outside in the heat to witness our wedding or only invite 45 people from both sides. Any suggestions!

Re: St Mary replica church in Kenner's Rivertown park

  • I personally wouldn't want any of my guests standing outside when everyone else is inside. I would feel bad. Would you have all of the seats inside reserved for VIPS? How would they know who can sit outside, and who can sit inside? Are there any other churches near where your reception is?
  • Honestly, if I were invited to your wedding and ended up stuck outside, I would probably just leave. I get the appeal of a cute little chapel, but for the sake of your guests you should look for something that would allow a seat for everyone.
  • Th short answer is yes, that would be inappropriate. You can either find a larger church or cut down the guest list. The local ladies can probably suggest some great spots. Good luck!
  • I went to a wedding there and the church is small.   You could have two invite lists -- a small, intimate ceremony and more for just the reception.
  • I agree with the PP about a small ceremony and iviting some people to just the reception. BTW, does anyone know the denomination of that chapel? Is it catholic?
