Hotels in the Winter Park area?

I'm trying to find a hotel where I can set up a block of rooms, and I want it as close to Casa Feliz as possible, but the only ones I can find are the Best Western and the LaQuinta, neither of which have great reviews on Trip Advisor. Anybody know of any others nearby? The Embassy Suites in downtown has good reviews, but I really wanted to find something closer for my guests if possible. TIA!

Best Western isn't so bad. That's wwhere we are putting our guests. I can not imagine having them figure out our crazy traffic patterns! And, they have a pool!

Ask the venue if they can recommend some good ones.

Eew. I had the same problem. The only really close hotel is the one off of Park Ave but I read that the train can be quite noisy. My Mom didn't like Best Western and I told her LaQunita was within walking istance of Denny's and Club Harem (strip club) with lovely views of I-4. Double gag. I ended up blocking all my rooms at Crowne Plaza which is on the corner of 50 & I-4. I called two other places but they never called back. I also got a really great deal on the rates. $99.00 with continential breakfast included.
    Hope that helps!

Thanks for the recs, everyone. Gorjush, I was thinking about that one too, since it's so close, but it might be too expensive for a lot of my folks (lots of broke grad students, lol!) so I may just suggest that on the website for the more well-off folks if they care to splurge. It's cute!

I would worry about the park plaza hotel because it is so noisy and it only has 28 rooms.  I booked a block of rooms at the Best Western.  Its not bad, its inexpensive, has a pool and it is really close.  Another idea is the Raddison over off of the Ivanhoe I-4 exit.  That hotel is really nice but it is kinda confusing with one way streets etc.
