So - I kid you not - the day after we booked our chapel, we went to our church and there was a letter from the pastor about how they were looking into lowering the cost for parishoners to get married there.  I just got off the phone with Father Brian and it's not set in stone yet but in the next couple of weeks they're going to lower it from $2000 (which is why we couldn't afford to get married there) to $250.

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG.

I wonder if we can get our deposit back from the chapel...

    Aaaaaaaaaaaand FI still wants to get married in the cute cottage chapel intead of the big castle church.  Even though it would be cheaper.  Even though he's ultra Catholic.

    Haha. I totally have to go back to my parish and get a 'blessing' done for our marriage. It was too expensive to get married there so we have to wait until FI comes back from MP school after we're married. I'm hoping a blessing would be cheaper than a full blown ceremony.
