Hi! My BF and I aren't engaged yet and I usually hang out on the NEY board but I'm a junior in college so I thought I would check out this board too. I'm majoring in communications and minoring in public relations and I only have 2 years of school left! My BF is a biology major and he is going to grad school after he finishes his undergrad. We haven't decided if we are going to get married before or after he does grad school, but I'm kind of hoping for before. Anyways this seems like a fun board so I thought I'd introduce myself.

    My boyfriend and me are also college students. I am majoring in Computer Science and he is in business management. I graduate in may2011 and eventhough he hasnt popped the question yet we have been discussing marriage. As of right now out wedding date is set in June 2011, Im so lost with all the palnnign but i think as soon as we have the venue its easy smooth saying from there on!

    Some advice: I would hold off on booking any venues and vendors until <em>after</em> you two are officially engaged. A lot could change up until then, and it'd be a shame to make a bunch deposits and then not be able to married for a couple more years. even if you've talked about... until it's officially happening, don't get too involved in making plans.

    I don't post a lot on this board, but it feels like a good place to introduce myself because FI and I are also students. He has one more year in his engineering program and I start my Master's program in the fall. We're getting married next August! Can't wait!

    Beth.. you and I are in the same boat. My boyfriend and I aren't engaged, but plan on getting married. I'm a junior too, but I'm majoring in business marketing. My boyfriends not in college, but he's joining the police department.  I'm hoping to get married sometime after I graduate, which will be May 2011 too.

    I'm glad to meet you too Mel! I noticed your posts on the NEY board. I'm really hoping my BF and I get married before he starts grad. school. Summer 2012 would be really nice.

    Haha...no I have no idea! He really wants to it be a surprise because he knows I love surprises but I think it will be sometime next year :D

    It always amazes me how fast time is going but I still wish it was going faster sometimes.

    I know exactly what you mean. I want to be surprised too, but I seem to be trying really hard to ruin it for my BF :) I'm hoping for this year, just so I can have the thought of us being officially engaged to pacify me...
