how far is too far??

I've been on the hunt for hair/makeup for my wedding date! All the artists in my area need a 3 girl minimum to travel to me, which is reasonable. However, I would be the only one getting done up - it is not in my girls' budget nor mine for their makeup/hair to be professionally done. 

 

After reaching out to a few artists, the one I like best is 35 minutes away from my ceremony site. Is that too far? I would leave from my house (in the middle of the ceremony site and the makeup salon), drive about 20 minutes south to the salon for hair and makeup. Then I assume I would drive to the ceremony site for first look pictures, 35-40 minutes north. Is that too far? I donl't really know my day of timeline yet.

 

There are closer places, but at the same price and I like their work much less! 

 

What would you do?

    why not just go to a salon? my hairdresser does hair and makeup and she will be doing mine. so much easier. my salon is about 10 minutes from my house. i think day of wedding, i'd freak if i had to travel much farther.

    Will you be getting dressed at your ceremony site? I'd calculate time based on the distance from where you are getting ready...

    If you really like her work then just add the time into ur schedule.
    If you feel beautiful, then it will be all worth it...
    Always remember it is your day, do it your own special way!!!!   Laughing
