Dress for Mom

Hi ladies! My mom has been having a real difficult time looking for a dress for my wedding. It has nothing to do with size, but we just haven't found that wow mom dress. She wears a 14 and we are trying o find a store that carries a nice, elegant selection. Any suggestions??? We've already tried Macy's, Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, Alfred Angelo, and David's Bridal.

Did you try Sears or Bealls?
Maybe a nice pant suit could work too.

What about Dillards? Or other bridal stores?

Unfortunately, the Dillard's in Miami closed.  What bridal stores are you referring to?  We tried several on the mile, but no luck.
  • Try Brides of America (David is amazing) but call for appointment, or there are still Dillards up here in Broward at the Pembroke Lakes Mall.

Try Burlington, Guess by Marciano and/or SAKS of 5th Ave. Also, they can be hit or miss, but sometimes Ross, TJ Maxx, and/or Marshall's have nicer dresses/gowns as well.
I also agree that an alternate bridal salon would be a good option. The Knot lists several in Miami- not sure which if any you've checked, but here's the link: http://www.theknot.com/Vendors/South-Florida-Bridal-Fashions/Profiles/BWP/065
    HTH!
  • Dillards, Macys....My mom found her dress at Rashawn Rose bridal. Depending on how far you would like to drive Mariolka's bridal had a good selection.

Try Daisy Tarsi on miracle mile!  Make an appt. with Anetta and she will give your mom options with the dresses that they carry.  I went through the same dilemma in looking for my dress for my daughter's wedding.
  • You've gotten some awesome suggestions-- definitely try department stores. Keep checking back!

I hope she finds something ASAP!

  • Also try Camille Vie (Group USA) in Sawgrass Mills in Sunrise! Their website is not very accurate because the store is huge and there is a huge variety of dresses in all sizes and styles! Both my mom and my fiance's mom bought their dresses there - they have some same ones from Macys but at a more cheaper price and then they also have the expensive ones; but totally worth it! My mom bought a one of a kind dress and she looks like a queen!! http://www.camillelavie.com/
