Look Out!

I've got power tools....

Anyone else getting into DIY projects? I feel like garage sale season and engagment has made me nest like crazy. FI owns his house, so we know where we'll be. Thus far I haven't gotten too many complaints about all my new additions to his house, but we've still got 10 months to go...

Pray we still get married.

;)

If we had a house (we're renting a basement apartment right now) I'd so be into everything.  I have plans for shelves and bookcases and so much more.  No outdoor space to work in kinda makes it a little difficult, though.

Have fun with your projects!!  Are they WR or NWR or both?

    Woohoo! You go, girl :)

We're still trying to get settled. I have some tricks up my sleeves, though...

Totally NWR. Thus far, I've refinished a cabinet for a bathroom, made art out of two dollar salvage shutters and done a ton of garage saling. (Not sure if that's grammatically correct, but oh well). I found burlap coffee sacks too and I'm making that into wall art. Basically the goal is to outfit our house for the least ammount of money possible. So far it's been really fun.

H's aunt hosted a couples shower for us a month before our wedding.  My FIL, who knows me well, gave me my own drill motor.  He then told my husband "that's Laura's.  You have to get your own."  I love that man.

Right now we're in the middle of putting in a stamped concrete patio and remodeling our living room.  I'm not doing much because I'm not the tile-layer in the family, H is, but he redid the hearth last week and he just went to pick up the tile for the fireplace surround.  When the tiling and installation of the woodstove is finished we will build the built in cabinets and mantel, which I will do some work on.
