i-yi-yi. hello May knotties. Man has it been a crazy last couple of days. Some of you may remember, this weekend we got our final RSVP count which ended up leaving the groom with only 10 guests + 2 bridal party members.
So after this news we started looking at all our quotes, etc. Of course they are all WAY off now. Our florist needs our final numbers by this Friday (since our wedding is around mother's day they have to be ordered early) -- so I've spent the last couple of days tackling the seating chart trying to get a final count for tables. I finally finished that last night.
So all of this is relatively manageable with class, projects, finals and a new job...but then throw this in: we woke up Tuesday morning with Niagara falls falling from our bedroom (apartment) ceiling -- the unit above us had the pipe which feeds clean water into her toilet explode and of course there is a low spot in her bathroom floor that feed it all down to our bedroom (it's an 1800s house). Needless to say we are far from being thrilled...esp. since ALL OUR CLOTHES, bedroom TV and stereo system was under the water fall. Both of us had to call into work (#1 we had nothing to wear except the pjs we were in #2 had to take everything we owned to the Laundromat to clean everything before our clothes soured). The landlord has agreed to pay for the (some what massive) laundry bill and we do have renter's insurance, but still...hoping our TV and stereo dry out and work ok again.
woo..anyone else's honeymoon looking like a god-sent at this point? Ours sure is...if we can survive the next 2/3 weeks.
