Horrible.....Long Rant

Hey ladies, I've only posted maybe twice but i'm feeling like crap and need an outlet. Ugh i dont even know where to begin. Well the day after Thanksgiving me, FI, and boys end up sick as a dog and find out we all have a stomach virus. We all just got back to normal late yesterday oh that's not all. Then FI comes home from work yesterday like bae i had to walk home from work so i instantly start freaking out thinking he wrecked or something thankfully he didnt. He tells me car just needs a jump well after having the dealership look at it and they say its time for a new car. So here we are planning a wedding, taking care of our 2 little men, and now we have to buy a new car! I'm on E right now i dont know which way to go! It feels like we cant win for losing lately. Then to top it off our 2yr old will be 3 on the 3rd and i'll be 25 on the 5. I xan care less about my bday i just dont want my little man not to have the best day ever. : I'm hoping we get it all figured out. SORRY FOR THIS LOOONG POST LADIES!

  • I'm glad you're all ok and bounced back from the stomach bug! Those are no fun so you have my sympathies. This too shall pass! Little man is 2 so having a blast in his bday can be simple and still fill his little heart with so much joy. Like nursing said time to sit down with FI and refocus. You can do it!!

Praise the Lord that you are feeling better.  Sometimes God is telling you, that your body needs a rest even when we dont want to.  Just tlook at it this way, you got to spend some very "creative" quality time with your family.

In terms of the car, Nursing is right, according to the research the best day to by a car is New Years Eve and new Years Day.  I dont kow if you can wait that long, but it says dealerships are trying to prepare for their new inventory.  It could be a lot worse.  my fiance drove a 1998 Buick Park Avenue up until it almost died on us. I say almost because Blackey, (that's the car's name) was giving us hints it was about that time.  For example, the drivers side door only opened sometimes so we had to crawl from the passenger's side to get in. Well my Fiance is a rather large man, so crawling over a seat wasnt the best.  Then every time he would unlock any door the trunk would pop open.  I guess that was Blackey's way of greeting us and saying I am ready for a ride. Then sometimes the engine would get mad at us and just start smoking so sometiems it was hard to see to drive.  Lastly, sometimes Blackey would sing to us.  I can only call it singing because even the mechanic couldnt figure out where the noise was coming from.  We defininetly have some memories, but he finally got a new car in April after having that car for 10 years. We couldnt afford one for a while so we just did what we had to do but eventually we got the funds to get a brand spanking new car. Girl i did a praise dance in teh dealership I was so happy. Even though I enjoyed Blackey's seranades it was about that time to let her go.   I hope I made you laugh a little bit, but I say all of that to say, its a blessing anyhow.  At least he has legs he can walk with so he can walk home work if he has too.  God will bless you with a new vehicle because he knows your heart is in the right place and the need is there.  remember it is in God's time and not ours, but it will be right on time.

In terms of the BDay party I think all of the ladies on here will agree that at that age the Dollar tree can be your best friend for a Birthday party.  Girl even now I love the dollar tree and I am 34.  But I agree, little man will be happy that the day is about him so a few cupcakes and balloons go a long way.  One way to make it interesting at that age but keep it on a budget is to do a scavenger hunt. If you need a little help with the scavengar hunt, I do plannign for children's bday parties so I will give you some ideas if you want. At that age girl it is so easy to please them.  The ladies on here are full of great ideas so Ia m sure they will have lots of advice.

For your birthday...dont be surprised if your fience already has something planned for you.

Wedding related: Girl at the end of the day it will all fall together and it will be beautiful and perfect.

Sorry for such a long response.  I had a little down time this morning.

As nursing said sometimes you have to vent, and that's why we are here.  To listen to you and support you and to help in any way we can.  THese ladies have been soooo supportive to me and its crazy because I have never ever met any of them.

  • Thank you all soooo much from the bottom of my heart! I woke up feeling a little better about the situation. I'm just gone take it a day at a time. As far as my pooh bday I never really thought of it the way you all put it. He wont know the difference as long as him happy i'm cool. I really appreciate you alls kind words it put a smile on my face. I'm really glad i found this board because the Ohio boards da ladies are a little snooty acting.
  • OOOOOHhh MRSBAD! You over on your board being snooty!?!?!?!??? lololol! j/k! I agree with all the previous posters, balloons, cupcakes, and he's 3, a couple of small gifts will make his day! I like Ranyatta's idea of scavenger hunt. when my boy was little we did the boiled egg on the spoon race. (you could do cotton balls too - but that's a little harder). As long as at the end of the day he got a smile, that's all you need, and at that age, it doesn't take much. As for the car, What'd the dealership say was wrong with it? Hopefully you can get a "quick fix" and wait another month or so before you absolutely have to get a new one. When's the wedding? Congrats!!! I'm glad you woke up feeling a little better today.

  • Awww Poor baby..

Car Issue- I work for a finance company and if you need a car ASAP- go the last day of the month. The dealers have to meet a certain quota by EOB each month. Find the car you want- tell them the payment you can afford and if they try to be pushy- attempt to walk out. Trust me they will NOT let you leave.. Dont sign the paper work until you know its something youre happy with and even though they may not be happy at the end, your happiness overseas theirs.

Baby- He will love anything. 3 year olds are not hard to please. If you just ride him around to look at Christmas lights- he would love that.

    Glad youre feeling better.

I not being mean..i promise big sissy ! In my baby sis voice lol
  • First off, BREATHE!!! I can understand how you feel that everything is not going how it normally should or does! Just take a breath!
Secondly, I completely understand about the car because I just got the same memo on my birthday!(I turned 23 on the 23rd!)
Third, I hate to hear that you and the little men were sick! I really hope you all fully recover!!
Fourth, everything is going to work out darlin'!
Don't stress out over the little things! I can honestly say that I know how it is to have a life while planning a wedding and trying to keep everything on a set track so that you know that everything is working out or will work out, and all that has happened has truly thrown it all off!! Don't trip just pray and also continue to vent. It's always better to get the issue or stress out than to keep it in!!

    Good luck honey!
