Budget honeymoon to Mexico!!!

Hey ladies, I would like your input. My fianc and I are getting ready to book a honeymoon. We are looking into an all inclusive in Mexico or Caribbean. Our budget is around 20002500. How much did you spend on your honeymoon with excursions and everything??? We will definitely have the all inclusive part covered, we are just concerned about how much extra we will spend outside of what's included in the AI. Also, what resort did you choose if you traveled to Cancun or riviera maya? Thanks so much!!!! :

    Before looking at any resort, price your flights first. We got a bit of sticker shock at first, and we're doing a nonstop from DFW, which is probably as cheap as it gets.

    We used AllInclusiveOutlet.com as well to find pricing and then went to a local Travel Agent who was able to match the price as well as get us a few extras.

    We spent around 2200 on the resort and airfare and then around $500-$600 on excursions and souveneirs. We were there for 6 days 7 nights.

    Just booked our trip, we're paying $2,500 for 7 nights at the Ocean Coral & Turquesa resort in Puerto Morelos.  The $2,500 includes roundtrip airfare, private transfer to/from resort, and trip insurance.  We plan to figure out excursions, if any, when we get there.  We searched around online for good deals, but then booked through a travel agent who was able to get a better price plus a few upgrades. 

    We're getting married in October, and originally planned to honeymoon in January/February.  However, we're actually going in early December between the holidays, as the resort prices were lower then and we were able to get more bang for our buck!
