Gosh, why is it SOOO hard to get motivated to start working again? I'm definitely not lacking in things to catch up on but all I can think about is WR stuff like finishing up our registries. Haha.

Have you done TY cards yet?? That's the thing I dragged my feet on the most. I was so on top of it before the wedding, with gifts we got in the mail and showers but once the wedding was over I was such a procrastinator about it.

I went to the fair yesterday and I tried almost everything I wanted. It wasn't crowded at all, and the weather was perfect. I will never go on a weekend again. We never waited more than 2 minutes in line for any food, and we ate a LOT of food.
I still need to make one more trip since I didn't get to try EVERYTHING I wanted.
Also, per normal, H and I almost adopted a dog at the SPCA exhibit. I feel like our life is just episode after episode of fighting the doggie urge.

FI and I too, but add Kittie urge (and occasionally teacup pig/hedgehog/otter/duckling/really anything that's adorable). But seriously, we're probably lucky that our pet deposit would be so high, and that they require cats to be declawed (which we absolutely refuse to do), otherwise we'd have about 5 rescue Corgis and 20 kittens by now.

What was your favorite so far at the fair?! I'm really hoping to try and make it out this year.

Carrie: No, I'm still procrastinating on that, too. I do have my list all ready to go though and I wsa thinking I would try to start some this weekend. I'm planning on forcing H to help me because he has really neat handwriting. I'm thinking the best way to do them is to attempt for a handful each night (once we start)?

Oh man, you're right...the weather yesterday was perfect fair weather! Jealous! We are also terrible about wanting to adopt another pet. Every time we go to Petsmart on a Saturday we have to go and check out the puppy/kitten set-up and somehow try to convince ourselves that another dog (or a cat) is a bad idea. We already have 2 (pups), and I'm pretty sure my dog would eat a kitten. H desperately wants a Husky though, so I know that one day there will just happen to be one there and our self-control will probably be screwed.

I swear sometimes we are the same person. H wants the same thing. I just don't know if I can handle watching a Husky suffer through the Texas heat.
We are 95% going to get one next April after my tax deadline, but in the interim we can't help but torture ourselves. And we can't get too attached anyways since if they don't mesh with McFly, we would have to start over and try again.

That's hilarious, we really are! Haha. One of our dogs now, Dakota, is a Husky/German Shephard mix (but she has Husky fur) and she does ok in the summer. She sheds a LOT and she just doesn't stay outside much unless she has to though. I'm also that crazy dog mom who leaves the A/C blasting and fans on during the day because I worry about them being uncomfortable.

Have you checked out Texas Husky Rescue? We've been thinking about becoming fosters so that we can kind of test it out and see if we're ready for a third, and also to easily test if the new pup would mesh with our dogs, but I'm afraid that we would probably just snatch up the first one we fostered so I'm not sure...

Okay all the dog talk makes me that much more excited to get on this plane home and go get my puppy from day care and hug his neck!! Also, I am coming up on my one year anniversary, and we got a gift late this summer, and I am the big loser who hasn't been able to write that ONE thank you note. But, the stuff I's all sitting out on my desk! This will be motivation for me to do tonight!!

Man, I really wanna go to the fair. I went once when I was like 7 or so, so I don't even remember it. FI got a free ticket, bc he's a teacher, so hoping we find time to go maybe next weekend!

Also, started my internship today! Had an interview Fri & got it. So excited about it. Had help working on STDs Wed & Sat, then went through them twice yesterday to make sure none got skipped & all names & addresses were rt, Got them put in the mail yesterday. Hooray! Also met with the Out of the Garden florist yesterday too.

Only sad note is yesterday I quit belly dance... Not sure if it'll just be until after I graduate in Dec, or if I'll even go back to that studio or find a new one

. I've been dancing there for almost 5 years, really bummed out about it...
