Sandals or barefoot on the beach

I recently was at the beach and tried walking in the sand with flip flops and the sand was flipping up into my hair. I wanted to buy dressy flip flops but now I'm not so sure. What is everyone else wearing for their beach ceremony?

I would wear sandals simply because the sand gets soooo hot.  Unless you are getting married early morning or at sunset I would go with the sandals.

I am not getting married on the beach, but have seen other brides post foot sandals like this for their beach wedding. They sell them on Etsy if you don't want to go completely barefoot.

We have sandals in case it's too hot but plan to shed them and go barefoot if it's not.

Thanks everyone! If I could wear heels and not sink that would be great! I never even thought of hot sand so perhaps I should wear something, I'd hate to burn my feet!

Have you looked into solemates??? They are not made for sand but they might make walking in the sand with heels a little easier...just a thought. As well, they come in 3 different sizes so you need to ensure you have the right size for your type of heel. HTH! J. :-)

I don't know how you'd manage to not sink in sand, even in solemates.  I suggest wearing flats of some sort.  I wort flat sandals (pic in bio) so I wouldn't burn my feet.  I considered flip flops but didn't want them to be noisy at all as I walked down to the ceremony or have them get caught up on my dress.  You could change to heels for the reception if you want.

Yep your right Carrie, I contacted Soulmates and they were completely honest with me. They said if the sand is loose, I will still sink! I will have to keep looking for the perfect flat sandal or shoe. I love the pic Lorena posted but it doesn't look like there is a bottom to it and I don't want my feet to burn. Thanks everyone for your input!
