Girls that had Body Wrap done

How many inches did you lose?? I'm going to get one done next Thursday for the first time!

Re: Girls that had Body Wrap done

I had one done about two years ago. I lost 16.5 inches and it stayed off for awhile- I think mostly because I was exercising and eating well. When I stopped working out and slipped back into bad eating habits the inches came back really quickly.

I copied a blog that I wrote about my experience below. Its meant to be comical but it will also give you an idea of how the process works so you aren't suprised. Of course it depends on where you go. Good luck! I hope you loose a lot of inches!

"Ok, so yesterday I tried a new gimmick to get thin. Its called body wrapping and it is the weirdest thing I have ever done in the name of beauty. Im not really sure how or why it works, but the claim is that you are suppose to loose inches, not fat, from the "treatment". I believe the treatment was probably some form of medieval touture. First, I had to strip down to my undies. Next, the "wrap- guy" measured me. Then I was wrapped from head to toe in ace bandages soaked in some sort of solution. The wraps were really tight. It was almost unbearable. I am not sure why I continued, I guess I thought that I would look like a wuss if I gave up now. Finally, I walked mummy-style out to an open room full of trampolines. I was instructed to jump on the trampoline for one hour. At this point, I was convinced that someone was playing a mean joke on me. I am sure that I will end up on youtube or some web site that makes fun of vain girls for doing this type of sh*t to themselves. Anyway, like I said, I am vain, so I proceeded to jump on the trampoline for one hour while dressed as a mummy. To add to the humilliation, the wraps got really cold as they dried, so cold that I thought my nipples would pop off. I jumped higher and faster on the trampoline to stay warm and occasionally the wrap-guy came out and hosed me down with warm water. Finally, my hour was up and the wrap guy unmummified me. Its a darn good thing that I wore light colored underwear that became see-through from the wet solution. Everyone in the place could see EVERYTHING. Anyway, I was remeasured and lost 16.5 inches overall. I am still not sure if it was worth it and I don't know whether the inches will come back or not, but it was certaintly an experience."

i lost 13 inches my first time and don't get measured anymore. but my pants are always looser after i go, so that rocks. definitely give it a shot, there are a few places in town that do it. i really like it and i can always tell a big difference on my face. i love how much thin my face looks for a few months after a wrap.

a mini one to keep your heart pumping strong and lymphatic system flowing. it's fun haha. i like jumping. the tightly wrapped part is the not fun part. it's worth it to me for the inch loss, but it's definitely not comfortable. just find a good tv show and have fun jumping and try not to stare at the clock. lol!!!

Man, I was picturing something more like a mud mask where you just lay there and relax and be pampered. This does not sound so enjoyable. ;)

I am sorry, but that blog post had me laughing so hard I was crying! That said, when I hear about the results, it somehow sounds reasonable. Where can you do this?

Hair trial with Becky tomorrow! And thanks to Stover, I have a veil to bring with me! (It's pretty stark white so I'm not sure if it'll work with the dress, but at least I can see how it would work with the hair!)

OMG! Didn't know about the trampolines! haha...yes Sarah, I agree beauty is hard work! I'm going to the Winter Park one that you recommend.

I had mine done at Body Wrap in Winter Park & it was awesome. I love 18 inches all over my first time. It definitely wasn't the most comfortable, relaxing thing ever. haha. But it was well worth it!! :)

I had mine done at Body Wrap and Tone right before my bachelorette party in Miami and loved it. I lost about 14 1/2 inches everywhere. Yeah its uncomfortable and not the relaxing day at the spa... but I mean like SG said beauty is hard work... I felt amazing in my teeny dress from H&M lol.. HTH.. If you have any questions feel free to email me at eviegrl42 at aol dot com.

I was not thinking a trampoline was involved!! I plan to do one before I go for my muslin fitting followed by engagement party in Philly this summer!

wowza. IDK that I'd wanna jump on a trampoline for an hour while being wrapped up tightly. And, believe me, I could use to lose the inches.

Good luck to the girls who are doing it, and I applaud the girls who have done it! I don't think I could do it.

Yeah, that's totally what I pictured, too.

How do they measure the inches? When people say they lost like say, 15 inches, Is that like combined inches off your waist, arms, legs, etc, = total inches lost?

I think Sarah mentioned that it wasn't enough to make an altered dress not fit,so I can't imagine it would be something extreme like 15 inches off the waist or whatever. Just curious.

lol...you aren't really jumping on a trampoline. just slightly bouncing up and down while you watch tv.

and aileen, it's inches from all over!

I am not sure why I am the only one, but I did not lose any inches whatsoever. There were a ton of other wedding-related things I have preferred to spend $100+ on. (maybe if I lost inches I wouldl feel differently.) And the one on Aloma was not a very clean environment, to say the least.

each of us has different bodies! i love getting body wraps, but that doesn't mean everybody else has to. i will say that just the tightening of my chin area is worth any amount of money to me haha.
