How long for a bridal shower

Hi,

I am hosting my first shower in August, making a final deciding on the restaurant this week.  My question is this: how long should a sit down lunch/brunch bridal shower be?  I am inviting 35 guests.  I do have two games planned (sorry for thoes that hate 'em), and a scrapbook table.  The bride also has been living out of the country, so it has been a year since she has seen everyone.  One place I'm considering only gives you the room for 2 hours, I don't think that's enough time.  Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Typically 2-3 hrs if there is a sit down meal. Shouldn't take more than an hour to open gifts. All the ones I had been to were about 3hrs average.

We had mine at a restaurant, and we had 2 hours, my aunt had a few games planned, but we ran out of time!

I would also say 3 hours.

Pretty much all of the showers that I've been to have been about 3 hrs (mine are both 3 hrs, as well). I think 2 hrs might be cutting it a little short!
