diy video

Is anyone planning on just having someone they know film the ceremony I was hoping to get a video of vowels and all that but didn't want to pay the money when i really don't want that much filmed. Any suggestions?

We didn't do this, but if you do, I recommend using a tripod.  Having someone handhold is just a really bad idea -- shaking, noise if they fidget, etc.  With the tripod, you can set it up somewhere out of the way (eg, to the side).  The other thing to consider is audio...if the camera is far away, it won't catch voices well.  So you may also want to get an audio recorder and hide it somewhere near the "altar" so your voices are actually captured.  Someone with a minimal understanding of video software should be able to help you stich the 2 together very easily.
