Ceremony Reading and Ceremony Song

Hey ladies, 

So I need your opinion, do you think it is ok to do a poem reading and also have someone play a song on the guitar during the ceremony. 

I would like my cousin to read E.E. Comings "I Carry Your Heart" somewhere during the ceremony. 

And I was hoping that my little brother would actually play the song that will also be our first dance on the accustic guitar while we are doing the unity part of the ceremony...which I think we are going to do the letters to each other and nailing them in the box with the bottle of wine to open during our one year anniversary. 

I don't want the ceremony to go to long, 20 min or so...do you think that is too much? We are going to do pretty tradititonal vows I think.

    I think both the poem and the song sound like they'll fit in well. Having your little brother play the guitar while you're doing the unity portion would be really sweet and if I was a guest, I'd probably start tearing up.

    I agree with emily. If you are only doing traditional vows it shouldn't take too long, so both the poem and the song should work! And I like your idea for the unity part of the ceremony!

    I think having both will be fine.  We're planning on having my aunt read "i carry your heart" as well!

    I would say those ideas sound good, plus 20 min really isn't that long so you should be fine!

    I think they both sound great. I love that you're having your brother play the guitar it's so sweet and I'd probably have to borrow a tissue from emily, it would make my cry too. Plus like Belle said having your brother play wouldn't add any extra time since you're already doing the unity part.
