    Processional: Somewhere over the rainbow
    Recessional: Stuck Like Glue (haha)

    First Dance: You and Me
Father/Daughter: My Little Girl (though I was pulling for Forever Young)
Mother/Son:  Don't know and I'm going to hurt him if he doesn't pick one soon! ;)

We aren't doing any of the others.  We were going to use "How Sweet It Is" for our cake cut until it became the Cold Stone Creamery theme song this year.

First Dance: You and Me, Dave Matthews Band
Father/Daughter: I Loved Her First, Heartland
Mother/Son: These Are Days, 10,000 Maniacs

We didn't do the others.  With the Catholic Mass we had, our ceremony music were all classical.

Processional: Somewhere over the Rainbow (great minds think alike Teach!)
YOUR entrance: Mama's Song by Carrie Underwood (picked by my mom, she walked me down the aisle)
Recessional: You Are the Best Thing by Ray Lamontagne (instrumental by our AWESOME ceremony musicians)

First Dance: You Are the Best Thing by Ray Lamontagne
Father/Daughter: My Wish by Rascal Flatts
Mother/Son: I forget exactly... something new by Pearl Jam (also picked the day BEFORE, don't worry ladies - they're all like that!)
Cake Cutting; Who Are You When I'm Not Looking by Blake Shelton (I ALWAYS sneak sweets and chocolate when he's not lookin!)

    Any anything I missed:
If anyone is worried about music during a cocktail hour, I was stressing out about this and put FI in charge of it the day of.  He forgot to do something so we didn't have any music, but when we asked people if there was music, they didn't even remember if there was or not.

Also, our entrance song to the reception was the Chicago Bulls entrance song (form the 90s) just to get everyone pumped up, etc....

Ladies and Gent.....this has me thinking and forgive me for asking, but how are you planning on playing & hearing the music on the beach?  I didn't really think I was going to do music but know I am wondering if I should?

Dwf....you have me in tears over here with that song!  I have been searching for "the" song to dance with my father too and I have now found it!  Thank you so much :)

We rented a speaker from Ocean Atlantic and it has a mic for our officiant and a hookup for an ipod.  It also comes with a long extension cord for power.

Some of the DW brides bought cardboard speakers that ran off batteries and said they worked well also.

I just can't picture a wedding without music!  We were going to go for live music but our guy fell through and we decided not to spend the money to replace him.

OBX- I wasn't going to do music at first either, but now I can't imagine not having it!  I was thinkin of downloading music to my ipod and playing it on the beach.  I bought an ipod dock that can run on batteries, I think that should work, yes?  I just have to ask someone to work it..

Teach - I was thinking about using You and Me as well for our first dance (the DMB song...right?).  But, I was thinking that it might be too fast?  So, I am curious to know your thoughts and how it worked for you.
    Thanks!!

We used it for our first dance, even though it was a little faster than some of the other options we had.  We didn't have any trouble dancing to it... we were on cloud nine and in our happy wedding bubble.  We did practice a bit ahead of time to get comfortable with it.  When he spun me at the first chorus, it was just perfect timing. =)

I just discovered a tropical rendition of "Stand by Me" that I am strongly leaning towards.  I would have never thought of it, but I love it.  Probably for the first dance.

Haven't narrowed everything down yet, but leaning towards these:

    PRELUDE
    “Only Time” by Enya
Come Away with Me” by Norah Jones

    “Little House” by Amanda Seyfried

    “Hero” by Enrique Iglesias

    PROCESSIONAL
    “Canon in D” by Pachelbel

    SAND CEREMONY“Better Together” byJack Johnson

    RECESSIONAL
     “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”
    by
    Iz (Israel Kamakawiwo’ole)  Cocktail Hour
    Feeling Good, Michael Buble’
Rhythm of Love, Plain White T’s

    Reception
Bittersweet Symphony, The Verve  (Wedding Party Intro)
Marry Me (First Dance Mix), Train (First Dance)
think I'm going to replace this with Stand by Me
Unforgettable, Nat King Cole (Father/Daughter dance)
This Will Be, Natalie Cole (Cake Cutting)
