Hi ladies! I haven't been around for a couple months and just wanted to say hi, and I'm back!! My last post was back in May, and then at the end of the month I fell at work and stress fractured a bone in my foot. Between the headaches of doctor's appointments and physical therapy, then vacation, then more physical therapy (I spent 5 weeks on crutches and 2 1/2 weeks with a cane), June was completely worthless for getting anything done.
Then July 1st, I finally got to officially move into my new apartment with FI ... three states away! We're now living out our dreams in Sevierville, Tennessee and have a gorgeous view of the Great Smoky Mountains out of our bedroom window. I started my new job at Dollywood on July 10th and have been loving every second of it. Now that things have calmed down and fallen into a normal rhythm, I'm back into planning the wedding again. Of course, having wasted almost two months, I feel like I'm desperately behind and have definitely entered panic mode!
My bridesmaids have all had a lot of life issues and only one has ordered her dress. Two others are ordering them in two weeks, and one isn't sure when she'll get hers because she's having major surgery next week. I'd rather her focus on recovery than a dress, and since they're DB dresses I'm not terribly worried about time yet. My MOH's dress came in 2 weeks.
My invitations are plodding slowly along. I have about 35 of them completed (I need a total of 80), though none have RSVP cards in them yet - I've still got to design and print those. That will probably be my project for tomorrow afternoon since my work day is short. Then I'm hoping to finish the invitations this coming week. I'd like to have them sent out by August 1st.
We've still got tons of stuff to get finished. We have no officiant, no rentals lined up (chairs, linens, etc), my brooch bouquet isn't even half finished, we haven't done our registries, haven't figured out dishes and other tableware, and are still undecided on whether we want to pay my stepsister to cater it or self-cater it. Our venue has a huge industrial kitchen and they will let us come in the night before to cook everything and store it in their walk-in refrigerator overnight. We're on a super tight budget and have already used an awful lot of it, so we're DIYing absolutely everything we can.
Gaaaahhhh!!
