Flowers

real or fake

I am having a country wedding and wanting sunflowers. I talked to a florist and they mentioned that sunflowers could get expensive. Since we are having at least 300 guests we are on a budget. how do yall feel about fake flowers for the bouquets and real for centerpieces. I know its what i want for our day but I just wanted a llittle feedback.

If it were any other flower, I would tell you to use real but I think fake sunflowers look so real! I think you could get away with it!

I am always for real flowers.  LIke PP said silk sunflowers can look pretty real but there is nothing like real flowers at a wedding.  Did you think about mixing viking poms in with the sunflowers.  They are really cute and look like a minitaure sunflower.  Also, I would get a few quotes from a couple different florists.  If all you want are sunflowers then they will buy them in bulk and that usually helps to lower the price.  Also, (even though I don't normally suggest it) you could DIY them yourself since you are sticking with only one type of flower.

Here is a pick of viking mums mixed in with sunflowers...

i say fake for both. sun flowers can come in so may colors and sizes that im sure u can make even the centerpieces exactly what u want. they come in bright vivid colors, some with "water droplets" on them, and even the "dirty"/"rustic" ones.

I don't see anything wrong with using fake. Most of the flowers look so real. You can't even tell that they are fake.
