Help for a peeling sunburn!?!

I am a bridesmaid next Saturday and on the 4th of July I was at the beach and got pretty badly sun burnt.  I have been using tons of aloe lotion and aloe gel to help it but today I started peeling a lot on my shoulders.  My dress is strapless and I don't want it to look horrible!  Is there anything I can do?!? HELP PLEASE!!!

The only things I can think of is exfoliate and lotion and stay out of the sun.

Lots of aloe vera gel and moisturiser. PP is right - stay out of the sun. After-sun lotions aren't usually that great - keeping your regular moisturiser in the fridge will help if its still hot to the touch.

Peeling - while it may not seem it - is a good thing. Its healing. So keep up the work on it.

Oh... and wear good sunscreen on the day. I burn through factor 50 when I apply every hour. The lobster look isn't a good look. :)

    Good luck!

It doesn't hurt at all anymore.  I used a TON of aloe gel and lotion the first few days to try to prevent peeling :(  I just don't want to look all blotchy you know?

You can't prevent peeling.  Those cells are dead and need to come off.  You can certainly help it along and peel off what you can!

Regular lotion will cover up the peeling for a short time, but all you can really do is let your body heal.

You have a week - peeling usually only lasts a week if you allow it to run its course.

    Good luck!  You'll look fine!
