My ceremony and reception are in the same place. My FI and I also are staying there for the night once the wedding is over. How do we politely get the guests to leave in a timely fashion?

have them send you off, like you would if you were staying elsewhere, and then drive around for 15 mins and come back. that is what we did. if you have a DJ or a master of the ceremonies they will make the announcements for you when it's last call, last dance, etc.

Our DJ asked everyone to make two lines to the door for our send off. We then just went back to our room.
