St. Croix Beaches/Sand Bar

Hi Ladies,

Do any of you know of sand bars or beaches located on the St. Croix that are not too far from Stillwater? I've never been on the St. Croix and my girls are planning the bach party and it involves boating on the St. Croix.  We would like to anchor and hang out for the time on there...but asked me about this topic.  I said I would ask the girls on theknot.

    Dont go to Beer can island.....right now thats the only one in Hudson that is open that ive seen. Havent been towards Stillwater so not sure whats not under water there.

    We go every summer to Hudson and camp out on the island near the old broken down Hudson bridge. There are 2 islands that are nice but with all the snow/rain we've had this year they are under water so there are not that many islands availlable this summer. Are you looking for this year or next year?

    Oh and which ever island you decide to use....WHERE SHOES!!! There i salot of broken glass mixed in the sand that you dont even know is there and we've had some friends with some pretty bad cuts.

    Not sure of what the names are right now but I'm going boating down the St Croix out of Stillwater on Saturday so I may be able to tell you after that! :)

    Go to the boom site in stillwater and launch the boat there. Straight across from the boom site is an island. That is where we usually camp when i go with my family :)
