It's Wednesday and yeah..

Morning.

Not... Good Morning.

I'm flipping tired.  I could not get to sleep until almost 3am, had to get up at 6, and now I'm just frickin dead.  I'm like a school kid whining about not wanting to go to school.  In my sleep-stupor i informed my H "But it's dark, I can't wake up it it's dark.  It's unAmerican"  At least I was productive last night.I got a bunch of things ordered on Amazon so I think I'm almost set for my H's birthday, our anniversary, and Christmas.  That guy is making out like a bandit this year.  Thank goodness he's been into hiking with me.  I finally have some easy gift ideas for his usually hard to buy for self.

I'm off to class shortly and hopefully i'll be awake enough for equations.  Doubt it though.  I may actually need coffee today.

  • Good Morning!!

Yikes...sounds like you have had a rough morning!
I feel sooo tired myself. FI and I went to the gym, as per usual, after work but I got there a little later than usual and basically it felt like I had to almost go right to bed as soon as we got home. I hate when I don't have that down time, when you just sit and vedge for a little.

I'm just glad it's going to be a short week and then 2 Saturday's from now is the Wedding Show. That's basically keeping me going for the next week or so. lol

  • Good morning!

Anna, sorry to hear your morning sucks so far. Atleast you got stuff for your H. I have two weeks until FI's birthday and I still have no clue what to get him. Fail.

This morning has been horrible. I woke up late and had to throw together the crockpot taco chili. I already did my make up and hair and had to cut an onion (i forgot about the onion) and i cried the whole time so my make up smeared all over my face. Then my can opener sucks so it took me 30 minutes to get two cans of tomato sauce open.

Had to help a guy push his car to the gas station with my truck. Traffic was horrible. It's just been one of those mornings. I think it's a great morning for a mimosa..

I'm also having one of those mornings. I was supposed to have a root canal today and even so they knew the dentist was sick and had a fever last night they waited until 8:45 am to call and tell me, which was after I'd already taken the sedative so I can't drive and go to work. Then they said I couldn't get back in to the dentist until the 17th even so my temporary filling is starting to come out meaning I will soon be crying every time I have to eat. After explaining what an inconvenience it was for them to cancel at the last second and have to wait until the 17th they managed to get me in on Monday afternoon. Finally, I had to call and deal with FI's b!tch receptionist who didn't want to put him on the phone b/c it's "not an emergency." Um, b!tch please - he going to have to leave work soon b/c he still things my appointment is a go so put him on the f-ing phone. She is such a PITA, I hate calling him at work.

Sorry you're having a sucky morning Anna, but it's nice to know I'm not alone.

    Anniversary
  • Morning!  Anna, H is the worst to shop for.  I have a little less than two months to determine what I'm getting him for our anniversary and I seriously have no idea what to get.  Same with Christmas.  If the man wants something he goes out and buys it (within reason).

JCB!!  I have a question for you!  You work in the dental field, correct?  If not please ignore me.  I'm having my top wisdom teeth removed this weekend and they are going to do it with me awake with just taking valium... is this normal??  Everyone I've talked to says they were knocked out when they had it done.  I'm freaking out because I don't do well with ish like this anyway, so I wanted the perspective of someone in the field.

  • H is ridiculous too. I put him on a buying ban to avoid his gift blocking tendencies. For once, I know what to give him
  • Good call Anna, FI has a tendency to gift block sometimes too.

And it wasn't a terrible experience, dj?  I'm seriously terrified of having this done.  I picture them jerking my head around trying to get the teeth out and me crying the whole time *shudder*. I've put it off so long but I need to just get it over with.  My dentist doesn't put anyone under so I don't even have the option unless I go somewhere else.

And you're so right about the cost.  I had an evaluation done last fall with a different dentist and he wanted to do a bone graft because of how my teeth grew into my sinuses, and all this other stuff and it totaled almost three grand, which would have been OOP.

  • H and I just ask each other what we want and pick from a list of things, which we can't  buy until after the birthday or Christmas. Not very romantic or surprising, but it works for us.

Shay, I was knocked out. I don't think I could have handled being awake. Achi, that sucks. I can't believe they'd expect  you to wait that long.

Right now Im sitting here watching The Hunger Games and waiting for Comcast to get here (10-12 appointment). No idea when they are coming so I'm just prepping for class tonight.

  • Sesh, that's what I'm afraid of.  I know myself well enough that I know I don't handle things like this very well.  Unless that valium truly dopes me up, I'm not sure I can do it.

At Christmas I give H a list of things to choose from because he asks for one.  I also ask him for a list but he does not give me that same curtsey so I just get him random things.  He plays xbox a lot but when a new game comes out that he wants, he preorders it months in advances so I can't even get him the easy stuff lol.

Shay, I know this wasn't directed to me and I didn't finish reading the rest of the thread yet so I don't know if you were already answered or not. I'm not in the field but I did have my wisdom teeth removed while I was awake and only had valium. They do give you shots that numb your gums that are supposed to help.

All I can say is if you have the option to be knocked out I would take it. After I had it done and I was awake for the whole thing I can say I was seriously traumitized! I REFUSE to go back to the dentist. EEK. I don't mean to scare you but I also have high anxiety and low threshold for pain. I'm sure it's normal to do because my dad was awake at a different dentist for his removal as well. And he was fine.
  • Wow, Anna, you're way ahead of the game on gifts!

It's a not so great morning for me too. H is in a funk, and currently I feel more like a roommate than his wife. I think he said maybe 4 words to me between getting home last night and leaving this morning. I know he HATES his job, but we've agreed that it's necessary to stick with it for the short term so we can meet some long term goals. I just hate how closed off he gets when he's upset about work, despite my best intentions to talk with him. On the plus side, he cleans when he's avoiding talking about something, so our house is super shiny right now. I wish I knew how to help him more.

And on that less than stellar note, I'm off to work.

    Have a good day ladies.

Thanks guys.  I think I've decided I'm going to call them and express my concerns.  I'm leaning towards canceling but I suppose I need to talk to them first.

Jcb, I haven't given up on PB!  My problem is how long the threads get.  Lately when I log in the morning thread is already 4 or 5 pages long, same with all the chatty UnpopOp, II, etc. type threads.  I know I could dive in, I guess I just feel weird.

  • Good morning!

We're home for a day between camping trips.  It's so nice to take a full week off work and not just a long weekend.

Except that I'm waiting for the Roto Rooter guy.  We have a huge maple tree that gets into the sewer line and it has to be snaked regularly or it backs up into the basement.  It's threatening to back up, so I need to have it done today while we're home.

This happened to me two years ago. It was a molar next to my wisdom tooth, and they did tell me that it was close to the sinus. They punctured my sinus cavity during the extraction and I had to drive across town to another surgeon who could put an artificial piece in my gum. Lengthy recovery.

Not trying to scare you any more than you already are. I just suggest getting put under if you have that option. I would have felt much better not knowing that all of this was happening until after the fact.
