Cake emergency -- Northumberland and surrounding counties

My very dear friend was supposed to make my cake for my July 4 wedding.  However, she has a brain tumor (benign but pressing on stuff and has to come out) and is going under the knife on June 11.  I want her to focus on recovering, not making a wedding cake, you know?

So, I am on the lookout for a new cake maker.  ANY recs would be appreciated.  32 days to go and I need to find a cake maker, OMG.

Help.  :(

    Where in Northumberland county specifically?

My baker was Fat and Happy Confections in Danville. They are usually booked solid but it never hurts to give them a try! You won't be disappointed.

Rita's Bake Shop in Shamokin is also a great choice for wedding cakes. (570)648-9925

I found out today at work that a new bakery shop has opened in Mt. Carmel. I am not sure how far away your location is from there, but I could get you her number. She's new to the bakery scene but heard her work is great.

Don't forget that Walmart, Sam's Club, Weis or Giant now are doing tiered cakes! You could also order matching sheet cakes to supplement the servings if the tired cake itself won't feed all your guests. They will never know the difference!

    Best of luck!!

I'm using Donita Keister from Mifflinburg...her prices are great and her work is really nice and tastes amazing.  We are having a cake for 175 people and it is abou $450.  She is also a supersweet lady to work with.  She has a website...warning that the pictures are really really outdated, but you can at least see some of her skill level.
