crafts... PIP!

Just some pictures of some of the many crafts i am attempting... starting to think i was crazy to think i could finish everything in time!!! only 18 days away!

this is for near our 'guestbook' we are actually having people sign a unfinished bench or outdoor chair or something (haven't picked that out yet....) and then clear coat it.. but this is a photo display of me and my honey since we were about 15... kinda cool to see how we've grown up together!  FI loooooved this!

card box.. at first i was all anti this thing... but made sense for envelopes so they grow legs and walk away...  no one is going to want to walk off with this obnoxious box!

table numbers... you can't tell but the letters are made out of very small polka dot paper and i made the stands out of floral wire.

i finished all the jewelry.. but didnt take pictures yet.  i did swarovski pendants and swarovski pearls for flowergirls and bridesmaids.  they turned out really awesome.. now i just have to figure out my jewelry situation...

anyone else want to share pics... please?

I LOVE your cardbox!  Not obnoxious at all.  I always like seeing unique options for cards at weddings.

Since I'm in post-wedding mode, I don't really have any crafty stuff to work on.  I have been going insane with baking/cooking though, using some old and new kitchen toys.  I DIYed cake batter ice cream yesterday and some strawberry cupcakes.  I need to bake another loaf of bread today to go with dinner.

    Here are my pics!

Loooooove the crafts!  The card box came out great and I love the picture thing!  Adorable!

I got the kitchen aid ice cream attachment too and am trying my best to hold off using it until post-wedding.  I'm so excited!!!!!!  lol

i am in love with that purple mixer!!! so cool :)  I can cook a helluva dinner but i am probably the worst baker ever so i didnt register for any of those fun baking things...  i have to say i'm a little jealous after reading about your cake ice cream!

thanks.. glad you guys liked the card box.. i was so unsure about doing it.. but i probably cost me $5 to make since i had so many gift boxes from my shower... figured it was a good way to use some of them up!

We actually got the Cuisinart ice cream maker, not the attachment for the mixer.  They're not that expensive either!  And even though it looks purple, the mixer is actually cobolt blue, so maybe that will make you like it a little less (haha).  I ended up buying that one on my own - we had registered for one but didn't get it.  I found one in a catalog where I could make monthly payments instead of forking over the huge $$ for one at once time, so I ordered it.

Honestly, the ice cream didn't come out as magical as I had hoped it would.  It tastes more like vanilla than cake batter.  I sort of cheaped out on the cake mix that I bought, which was a big mistake.  I'll splurge next time for one of the nicer cake mixes with the hope that it will have a stronger taste.  We do plan to experiment with other cake batter flavors too.  And other ice cream flavors.  It's a good thing I go back to work in a month because I'd weigh 900 pounds if I was off forever!
