Has anyone used Stephanie's Wedding Creations before?  I've been in contact with her twice; once earlier this summer by phone and just recently by email.  When I called her she seemed inconvenienced that I was even calling her, so I'm thinking it was a cell and not a business number.  I emailed her Friday afternoon and I still haven't heard back from her.  I realize that it's summer and she may have been doing a wedding or two this weekend, but I feel that if you are providing an email and a service to people, it is extremely unprofessional not to respond in a timely fashion.  I realize I'm being a little uptight, but 4 days later and nothing??  I'd like to use her because of her prices, but I don't want to deal with someone who is unreliable or has a bad reputation.  Any thoughts or personal experiences with her?

    I have booked her for my wedding next year and so far, I have had great service from her. BUT, I haven't really needed anything from her so far, she was just great with me in the beginning when we worked on my ideas and whatnot. But, quite a few girls here have used her and I think overall they were satisfied, but with some minor problems, some like what you are mentioning.

    Several people here have had the same experience you are describing. Communication is not her strong suit, apparently.

    liza, you're pregnant?! congrats!! i'm using stephanie & have had the same communication issues you're having. we'll see how it turns out, my wedding's in september.

    I had communication issues with SWC too but all in all things went fine in the end. Review in my bio. The issues I had weren't enough for me to say anything bad, it was very minor. But, I know it can be frustrating trying to get ahold of someone when you just need something and you've already booked them.

    ditto - at first she was great with emailing and answering questions... but now i dont deal with her bc i'm in florida and the linens just dont matter to me much, but my mom said she is REALLY hard to get ahold of and to make appointments with. my wedding is in september as well.. so we'll see...

    *****  I smell a VENDOR *****  why would you come on here with the same name as the vendor and recommend that vendor???  That was stupid!!Anyways, I used SWC and had constant communication issues, but we met last Friday and it helped to comfort me a little....As long as she shows up and does a good job, her prices are good, I will be happy!

    You are not being uptight at all.  She may do excellent work, but she sounds very unprofessional.  You are planning the most important event of your life.  You are giving her your (or your parents) hard earned money.  She must not want it if she isn't returning your calls.  If you haven't given her any money yet, I wouldn't.  I'm not a vendor and don't know any but grabbed a card at my dj/video consultation Sat. for a chair cover person:  Affordable Elegance Chair Covers and Linens  aecclinens.com.  They're offering a Bridal Show Special of $2.50 on any cover until 9/30/09.

    Houstonbridal- very clever promoting your own business!! I say with SWC you get what you pay for, if you want the added stress I say go for it. LOL!!!

    Hello-We used SWC this past Saturday for charger plates and a staircase decoration.  The charger plates were beautiful and reasonably priced.  However, she left without telling anyone to go back and get more plates as she didn't bring enough.  We wondered where she had gone.  The staircase decoration was a differerent matter.  We were very disappointed.  The staircase was to be swagged with ivory tulle and ivory silk flowers and ivy.  The actual decoration was ivory tulle that was sloppy around the banisters, no flowers or ivory.  The two sides of the staircase were not even symmetrical.  I contacted her yesterday and she is supposed to give us a partial refund for the staircase.  My point to her was that she should have spoken with the coordinator if there was an issue with the agreed upon setup.  Not just do it and leave.  During the planning process she was hard to get a hold of after you agreed to use her.  Hope this helps.

    lmao about houston bridal... seriously?!! ha. anyways, after talking to my mom about her she said she never answered her calls and responded via email to her question in her voicemail... my mom isn't always at her computer and probably checks her email once a day, if that, so it can become a little bit of a problem...

    I am on the fence about SWC too.ugh.Her prices are the lowest I have seen,but may not be worth it if she is going to act like this.

    hi i am using this service for my wedding i hope and pray that these things that you guys have mentioned do not occur i have 0 tolereance for bullshit on my big day and i will be right there as she decorates
