Clueless about flowers

Ladies, please help! I've done pretty well with planning a very budget-friendly wedding up until this point, but I have absolutely no idea where to begin when it comes to flowers. We'll need my bouquet, five bridesmaid bouquets, a toss bouquet, five groomsman coursages and a few coursages for the parents. That's about it, unless we add in some odds and ends. I'd like to keep this as cheap as possible, but have no clue who to even call. Any suggestions on affordable florists? We're on the west side and the wedding is around downtown. Thanks!!!!

Nope, no word from her. =(

I really haven't done too much searching yet either, though it is my next item on the to-do list. If I get any luck, I will update the thread. And hopefully we'll hear from ClevelandCutie, too!

Hey ladies, I'm just going to copy my response to the post above this one:
I booked with Milee at Roses $9.99 and more in Strongsville and I LOVE HER!! She has done upwards of 4000 weddings, and her flowers are gorgeous. For my bouquet, 4 maids, 7 bouts, a corsage for my mother-in-law, cake topper, and 10 centerpieces, all with roses instead of "seasonal" flowers we came in at just over a grand ($1066 to be exact). Without the centerpieces she quoted me around $550. For what we are getting, the price is exceptional. I've included a picture of the bouqets that we're going with. The first one is mine, I'm going with calla lillies instead of the regular ones tho. Check out their website, she has tons of pictures of HER work up, not generic flower store ones. Make sure you click on "Weddings" in the left navigational pane, not "Wedding".

I once read somewhere that our flowers and floral-decor are supposed to total 10% of your budget.  Another thing to consdier when choosing flowers are which ones are in-season.  Out-of-season flowers will cost more since they need to be shipped in from other areas.  I have used this website to start getting ideas as to which flowers are in-season during my wedding (I happen to be having a mid-winter wedding)

    http://weddings.about.com/od/weddingflowers/a/Season.htm

I also liked this website becasue it gives the color of the flowers, so you can be sure to stick with your wedding colors!

    Hope this helps!
