FYI:cater stress days before my wedding

Well I am back for one day before my business trip, but here is the update with the cater I used, I will give  a full update later.

The owner of the company fused at me Wednesday morning when I called to try to resolve the issue, because his secretary sent me the quote late, and I didn't get it until 5 days before the wedding.  I never once fussed at him.

I was informed by the secretary that she miss quoted me earlier, on the quote that I signed, so it was HER mistake but they wanted me to eat the cost.  She was avoiding my calls all day on the Tuesday before the wedding, and you can ask anyone in the office, I didn't fuss, cuss or go bridezilla on anyone in the office.

I looked at other cater, but three day before my wedding what do you expect

The rental price didn't go up because I had less people it went up because they quoted me using a old price list.

The price for the number of servers didn't change because they under quote me for servers before, which wasn't really the big issue it was the fact the the rental price between 100 and 150 people remained the same.

So I had to pay an extra 600 dollar for my wedding because they messed up,  If I quoted me correctly before I wouldn't 'have added some of the other option, so I would not recommend

Waiter's Choice Catering in Rockhill, SC and Charlotte, Nc to any one

I don't like to be taken advantage of and that is what they did, even thought it was there mistake, they make me have to find 600 more dollar from other sources days before my wedding, which is alot to me!!!

I'm not quite sure I understand the sitaution, but I think I had a similar situation with my caterer, where they mis-calculated/mis-added on my original quote, which was incorporated into my contract.  When I called to finalize the numbers with them, I had less people but the total didn't go down as much as it should have.  We figured out that they had added wrong in the first quote, and the first quote was $400 less than it should have been.  My caterers ate the $400.00 and took the amount they made the mistake on in the first quote, off of the final total since the error was on their end.  That is what I think a good business should do --  if your caterer made a mistake on their end, they should eat the added cost.  If you hadn't signed a contract yet, it makes it difficult to argue they were locked in, but if they wanted to keep good customer relations, they should eat their own mistake.  So sorry that they aren't working with you, and causing you stress before your wedding day!

Contact the BBB and leave a complaint if you aren't able to resolve things.
If it Oops was on their side, they most def. should have taken the fall, not you.

Sorry you had to go through this right before your wedding!
