Ceremony Site Suggestions

Does anyone have suggestions for a non-religious ceremony site in Queens? I'd love to have it outdoors, but not if the only rain plan is to rent a tent.

Thank you!

Queens Botanical Gardens should do it and Brooklyn Botanical Gardens.

    I hope that helps.

I'm not sure if any of the Gardens will allow putting up tents.  Many of the outdoor venues, the Parks, etc., only allow chairs, no amplified music, and anything must be hand held (ie: chuppah) and not put into the ground.  So be sure you read the fine print and prepare for back-up.

The Voekler Orth Historical House is adorable, but I don't the site can comfortably accommodate more than thirty or so.  The Bayside Historical Society (Fort Totten Park, overlooks LI Sound) has some huge, lovely rooms too.  Both have indoor and outdoor options.

A few weeks ago, I was at Flushing Meadows Corona Park: I walked from the Queens Museum/Globe straight over a highway (it was a super short walk) to a deck overlooking the water, which has interesting urban skyline views.  By the way, the Queens Museum also does events.

Two other parks: Astoria Park and Gantry State Park
