When to send Save the Dates?

My wedding isn't until October 2013...when should STD's go out?
I know right now is way too early haha but I'm just wondering when a good time would be.

It depends where your wedding is. If it's across the country for most of your guests, like mine is, I would send them 1 yr in advance. We are sending ours this Sept for our Sept 2013 wedding b/c my family is in PA and we are getting married in CA. Hope that helps

At least 6 months before the wedding.
