What are you doing for your bridesmaids

What is everyone doing for their bridesmaids?  Are you paying for their dress, shoes, hair, nails, make up, jewelry, etc.  Also what are you getting them for gifts? I was going to pay for make up, hair and jewelry, but 2 of my girls will be getting their hair done elsewhere so should I just give them the money for it? TIA.

I did coach cluctches, the earrings for the wedding, some little notepads from Miachels with their initials...the MOH's got coach umbrellas and i am paying for half of their makeup.....the coach stuff sounds exspensive but I got it all at additional 50% off at the outlet and they have tons of extra 20% off coupons...enjoy

FI and I discussed this and we decided against anything that has to do with our wedding day or things that will benefit us. Everyone is different but to me having someone pay for my hair isn't a gift to me it's more of gift to them to have their bridal party look good. I am getting them all SpaFinder gift cards, makeup bags, and a bunch of little things to each match their personality and what they like.

I bought them their purse for the day of, and then put perfume and a $100 Macy's gift card in it. I also bought my MOH/sister and anklet she had been wanting.

My mom paid for a portion of their dress.  My dad paid for them to get mani/pedis and I paid for their hair.  One of my bridesmaids didn't want to get her nails or hair done with us but I didn't give her money for her to get it done somewhere else.  For gifts I got them each a bracelet and a Kate Spade make up bag.  For my MH I got her a Coach wrislet instead of the make up bag.

It sounds like what you're asking is do you buy them an actual gift or subsidize the costs of being in your wedding. My vote would be for an actual gift and save your money. Unless your BMs have an actual budget/money problem, it isn't common to pay for their dresses or accessories and definitely not expected.

I'm paying for hair and makeup day of, I might also get them something small (which I guess I should do now...).  Money is pretty tight for both of them so I think they'll appreciate it.

I'm paying for their hair, makeup and mani/pedis.  I've also had custom snowflake earrings made in white gold for them to wear at the wedding.
