Do you have a pair? Are they the best shoes ever like my sister says?
(or never heard of them like me until three days ago? It's an online shoe retailer... his shoes are around $50... they're canvas sneaker-type shoes. And when you buy a pair, a pair goes to a child who needs shoes. I love the idea. But I am always wary of buying shoes online.)
Should I get one? I kind of want these: http://www.toms.com/womens/classics/black-siebe-perforated-nylon-women-s-classics Except I feel like if I'm buying them, I should get orange or something fun
Re: Tom's Shoes
It is legit though, I've seen the guy doing some promotional stuff. I think it's an awesome idea.
That's what I'm worried about... that they'd fall apart. I'm not a shoe snob, and I work in a really casual office (I wear jeans every day. Today I'm wearing flip flops.) so they wouldn't really be out of place. I just want comfy shoes that aren't my running sneakers or flip flops.

Regardless, I'm still with Champagne on this one - I'd rather donate $50 and get a nicer looking pair of shoes elsewhere.

This. If you aren't even sure you like the shoes, why not just give money to an organization?
Tom's is still a for-profit enterprise. It's one thing if you are planning on buying the shoes anyway and, hey, great, they do some good work!
But if you are doing it with the intention of giving to charity, then I would just give directly to a chairty.

The kicker is the blog post was mostly about Ethos Water, the Tom's part was mild.
