Rent hair accessories

I know that there are a few websites that offer jewelry rental, but I was wondering if anyone knew of any company that does hair accessory rental.

I'm trying to avoid having to purchase hair accessories because everything that I'm coming across either looks poorly made or costs an arm and a leg. I would appreciate any ideas!

Re: Rent hair accessories

  • I haven't come across hair accessory rental.  It may be a hygiene issue.

I think you will enjoy this website: http://weddingfactorydirect.com/headpieces.html

It's a wholesale website, but it didn't seem to be a problem when I added 1 item to cart to check out.  Didn't seem to need a tax ID number either.  Worth a try.  Plus they are nice.  They have the exact same ribbon headband I got from my local bridal shop.  They made quite a profit.

This was my first thought. I would not want to rent something I would put in my hair that had been worn by who knows how many others.

What is your budget? You can try Etsy.com. There are several sellers on there of lots of price ranges. And you can give them a picture of what you have in mind.

  • There is a company called happily ever borrowed. They rent jewelery and hair accessories
  • I've rented jewelry before from "Rent the Runway" and it has always been gorgeous - they do have a few bridal hair accessories that you can see here: http://www.renttherunway.com/accessory/search/page-2

As far as hygiene is concerned, all the jewelry I've rented (which has been metal) has come to me immaculate. I assume they have a process of disinfection, similar to how hairstylists cleans scissors/razors/etc. and use them on multiple people, but if you're worried I'm sure you could disinfect them yourself with alcohol.
