Garters?

So I am working on getting all my pieces together of what I'm wearing on the big day for my fitting on Thursday. Obviously, I don't need it by Thursday, but I have no idea about a garter. Where's a good place to get them? What's a good amount to spend? Does sizing matter? Do you have yours already? TIA girls!

I am not wearing a garter because we are not doing the garter toss and I find it silly for any other reason.

But Etsy has some super cute ones and if you wanted to get like a fun one (favorite sports team or something) I think that is the best place to order.

We aren't doing a garter and I am not wearing one. IMO i find the garter toss and the person who gets the bouquet the most awkward thing in the world. lol.

Like PP mention Esty has some cute ones.

If you are just looking for a simple garter and don't really care about it being anything fancy I would recommend Michaels or the knot shop. Otherwise, if you want it to be a keepsake garter Etsy does have some pretty ones. They are about $5-$6 at Michaels I think and I believe they are just one size since they are elastic

I have a few adorable ones pinned on my pinterest page. I also found some cute ones on Etsy. A lot of the Etsy sellers will sell them in pairs (one fancier one for you to keep, a smaller one for the toss).

I am wearing a garter just because I want to, but I am not doing a garter toss. I had one custom made to fit my personality. Since I started teaching I have been collecting sesame street figures. My students give them to me each year. So my garter has cookie monster (something blue). Seems weird to have such a juvenile thing on a garter...lol, but somehow it works...lol. I'll post a picture later. It's really cute, and the only way I could figure to fit in this side of me

I got both of mine on Etsy! I got a Detroit Tigers one for the toss and a pretty lace one with a purple flower to keep. I know I know, they don't match but oh well. I wanted both but didn't need more than two garters lol.

My mom gave me one. Is that weird? hahahahaha

It's beautiful though - it's a delicate ivory color with lace, with a light sky blue ribbon through the center of it, with a rhinestone and bow in the center. It'll be my something blue if I can't wear the sapphire and diamond ring that my Dad gave my mom when I was born (my mom has much bigger fingers than me, so the ring may only fit on like my thumb).

my mom got me one too! She won't show it to me yet though so I don't know what it looks like or where she got it. But she told me it was tradition that she got one for me. Not sure where she got that from haha

I got mine from etsy. I got a San Diego Chargers set for my FI and it doubles as my something blue. Super cute. My FI told me the other day that his family have a family garter that is supposed to worn by the new bride to the famil. So not sure what to do about this... :-/

Did your mom also buy you your neglige/robe for the wedding night? My mom did and I was like, this is kind of . . . weird . . . but they are SO gorgeous and I didn't want to pay for them myself!

yess she did!! I thought it was so weird too. She was like "no, it's tradition. I'm supposed to get these things for you". Umm I don't think so? haha It was so strange too because my mom is extremely reserved and conservative. She never talks about these things so I cannot picture her shopping for them...for her daughter!

I got mine on etsy. We aren't doing a toss because we have like 0 single people invited to the wedding but I wanted one to be able to give to him to keep. Its Pittsburgh Steelers which is his favorite team.

This is the garter I ordered, but the band will be cream, and the flowers will be plum purple, navy, and cream. I got it off of Etsy and for the 2 it was $37 with free customization and sized to fit my leg specifically.
