i have changed my mind a few times about my wedding colors, and i have a while until i really need to know. but i was just wondering what colors you ladies picked?
Originally my colors were going to be lime green, turquoise, and yellow. Then they changed to hot pink, turquoise, and golden yellow. Then dark pink, jade, and golden yellow. Now they are kermit green, jade/turquoise, with golden yellow as the accent color. I'm sure it will change again... :-/

July 2012 November Siggy: Bridesmaid Dresses!
The whole colors thing is one of the things thats really stressing me out..lol. I like all sorts of colors...and the fiance really isnt helping in this department. At first I liked Black, hot pink and white. Then I like aqua blue, dark blue and tan. (for a beach theme) Right now Im loving light purple, dark purple and a blueish purple with some green accents. I really have no clue how to pick which colors i want...lol
I originally picked Champange, Ivory, and Eggplant - but changed it to Champange, Ivory, and Gold.
I'm not sure if you have your ceremony and reception location booked yet, but seeing the colors of my church and hall helped me pick my colors because I was able to visualize what would look good/bad at those locations.
I hope wedding stress wasn't keeping you up until 2:44am!
We used Sage and a Deep Purple as our colors. My favorite color is Green, and my Grandmothers favorite color was Purple. Our main color through out the wedding that we used was Sage, with accents of purple.
I wouldn't stress too much about colors. What's your favorite color? Your FI's?

I second Gwenwhyfare: which colors do you like? We are doing navy, lemon, and a lime or sage (really just a lighter green, probably). I wanted yellow to be one of the colors, because I love yellow flowers. I would never make my bridesmaids wear yellow though, so FI picked navy to go with it.
At that point, we had a maize and blue wedding, and while we are both Michigan alums, FI thought that was too much. So we wanted a third color. We found some pictures of centerpieces that we liked that used both lemons and limes in them, so then we had our third color!
So really, whatever you think you like and can work with isfine - it doesn't need to be a big statement or a stressful decision.
At first I wanted pink and green to be our colors, but FI really wanted to use blue since it is both of our favorite color. I really still wanted pink because I had my heart set on my favorite flower, fuchsia gerbera daisies. Initially I was worried that pink and blue would look like it was a baby shower, but after much searching I came across the color combo of navy blue and fuchsia, which is perfect.
My fav color is blue but I knew with how we were doing flowers (SIL did them and we got from Sam's Club) that could potentially be a issue. DH loves red so it was simple - red and white with a slight accent of black. Also we are HUGE red wings fans (which also played into the wedding) so the colors just worked
To be honest, the colors chose me. I was at Michael's months before we were engaged, but I was pretty sure we'd be married. They had wedding invitation packs on sale for $5 for a pack of 50. They are cream & black toile floral, which is sort of vintagey. I bought them. From there it was easy, because my BM are various ages from 16-50's, various sizes & heights, and one lives out of state. I figured they can choose flattering black dresses that they'll wear again, and voila. So, they are black & white/cream, and I added silver as the 3rd color. This is a very easy color pallet, and easy to find things in. Some things are damask, some are toile/floral, and they all go together well. Plus, I don't have to match a shade of black, like I'd have to do with blue, green, etc. And I find my colors elegant, plus I have silver bowls I got on sale from a florist going out of business.
Not sure that helps you, but everyone has different reasons for the colors they choose. Good luck.
courtney1188 - i was thinking pink and navy blue because i want peonies and maybe some white hydrangeas, and navy because i don't want the FI and the boys to feel like they are in a sea of pink. but as rcj2rcd said i have picked my venue its greystone and they have like a purple/gold-ish theme so i think/hope it will work out. wedding planning isnt keeping me up.. YET! i wasnt feeling well so i was on the couch sitting on theknot and watching style network hehe
It was huge for us to not pick something too feminine, personally i love anything pink but decided it wasn't the best choice for us (i do love other pink weddings though). It was a very easy decision from there we love more modern looks and the color red. So the colors became red and black and hopefully tying in silver accents. We like the fact those colors are very sharp and can look elegant without blowing too much money.

We both love real simple and modern so we picked black and white...then I wanted to add some purple so those are our colors! But everything is mainly black and white.

Check out Kim's bio (Sunkissed212). Her wedding was at Greystone and I think she used gold/purple as her colors. Not trying to be a bio stalker, but I really liked her style. Check out the vendor sticky link and see who else has used Greystone.
Friend of mine had her wedding at Greystone last year. Her colors were bright pink and chocolate and looked very nice with the venue.
I'm really digging green and dark teal but in all honesty I have so much time (my wedding is August 2012) that I"m not really stressing about it.
When we went to look at our venue they had a table set up in a really cool dark silver/gray and black paisley design. My first thought was, dang it you are making me change my mind!

Originally, my colors were black, white and moss green. Then it changed to black, white and red. Now I'm back to the black, white and green. However, we've decided to keep everything black and white until closer to the wedding. Then I will just have my flowers done in an accent color that we choose closer to the date.
Our colors are navy blue and silver. We were talking in the car one day and choosing colors, both of my best friends had red, so I didn't want to copy them. FI's oldest brother did purple. Turns out navy blue is the perfect color as I have sapphires in my engagement ring representing both of our grandmother's birthdays being in September and their birthstone.
My mom seems to think our colors should be red, white and blue for us meeting on July 4th....but my flowers are red so I guess it can serve as an accent color.
Re: wedding colors
i changed it from Gold Ivory and Red
