I've been lurking and have posted a little bit, but I don't think I have actually introduced myself.

My name is Nicole and FI is Tommy. We have been together for 3 years and live in the suburbs of NYC with our (almost) 2 year old son. We are getting married on August 15, 2010 (which is getting so close!!!!!! )We are having an outdoor reception/ceremony right along the Hudson River up in Poughkeepsie. I'm going for a vintage/modern/romance theme and the colors are african violet, cobalt blue and silver.

I really like the supportiveness of this board and look forward to sharing ideas with you ladies over the next couple months!

    @ TysWife2Be : Well thank you! Its been going OK.somedays I'm like why didn't we JOP it?!? There is just sooo much to think about. But deep down thats not really for us (not knockin it). Early on I had some venue decision issues, from what I've gathered you've been going through them as well. I hope you find your perfect location! But now my biggest worries are all the little loose ends..favors, gifts, food, etc.

    Welcome Nicole! I was just speaking to my FI about our colors. He likes purple and I love peacock blue, so there it is.

    Your wedding is right around the corner...congratz.

    Welcome!  I was born in Poughkeepsie (Vassar Bros Hospital) and my dad/stepmom/sister still live there!  I also have people in Fishkill, Wappinger Falls and Newburgh!  Small world!!  Smile

    Thanks!! I'm not sure about the bio. Is that the weebly blog thing? This is all new to me. I read a bio of someone from my monthly board and it was so nice but seemed like a lot of work..lol! I am seeing my decor samples this week. I recently learned how to PIP..lol
