Engagement Party

FI and my Bridal party have decided to throw us a casino night engagement party.  FI and I don't have to do anything, just show up and have a good time... I'm def all for that!  But they aren't letting us even chip in on any of the costs.  Is it okay to get those that helped a little something?  Or should I just leave it at that.  There is also a total of 10 people in the party, but only 4 of them really put effort into all the planning and designing.  If I get the 4, do I have to get the entire party?

Suggestions please.

I think it's great to get them a little something (gift card, etc.).  I would give those who really did the planning gifts, and the rest a thank you card if they had any part of it at all.  I'd do it after the fact so that they don't necessarily know who got what or didn't.

I do not agree with only getting the 4 that are helping out a gift.  I think that if the entire party is helping even decorating everyone should be acknowledged equally.  I just think that if you go about it the other way some of their feelings are going to be hurt and it is way to soon to be hurting feelings in the planning process.  You have plenty of time for drama.  Which hopefully there will be none but that's not always the case:)
