FB annoyance

i get annoyed with people who use FB to solicit their "friends" for their home-based business or to get votes for "the cutest kid to infinity and beyond of the week" competitions.

I don't need daily invites to buy your overpriced "food" products, or attend your out of state "food"/candle/sex toy party (don't forget, you can always order overpriced crap from their personalized website) or hourly status updates reminding me to vote for a kid in some contest (the one i blocked today - that kid is NOT cute - there's a very good reason she's ranked #387 and dropping, give it up.)

Agreed. Also, I assume people that are constantly entering these contests or are starting home-based "businesses" are poor and stupid. Why would you want to advertise that on an hourly basis?

Ugh, agreed.  I hate, hate, HATE those "parties" that are really sales pitches for stuff no one needs.  They're worse than time share presentations.

i got one from a "friend" for a "Tastefully Simple" party that set me over the edge.

as part of the sales pitch "our products are all natural and are at grocery store prices!"

I pointed out that even if you shopped at Whole Paycheck your grocery bills would be less - and that powdered mix in a box was not "all natural." I could buy 3-4 boxes of cake mix at my local grocery store for less than one box of hers. - it was a fun little rant, and enough to piss off the "host" (and several other "friends" that sell the crap) - to the point where they blocked me, saving me the trouble of trying to figure out how to do so with the English (Pirate) feature intact.

Yes, all of this annoys me, too.  Especially labeling things "all natural."  I'm pretty sure that deadly mushrooms and manure are all natural, but I don't want to put them in my mouth.

I'm glad I've never seen this on fb.

I do like the Tastefully simple beer bread.
