  I used gigmasters.com to find out cocktail hour musician. I was looking for a steel drummer to add a little of the carribean to our lakefront wedding. It was a great website. Different musicians bid to have you pick them. I received 3 different bids (granted there aren't a lot of steel drummers in WI lol) I was able to select the one with the best price and sound.
  
  Otherwise mymilwaukeewedding.com is another good resource.
