Is it a waste of money to buy inner envelopes?

It's $22 extra. I'm really temped.

    yes, they're nice - especially since the post office will ruin your outer one.

    I didnt get them. only 1 of the 4 or 5 ive received in the last year had them.

    My thought is that they look nice...plus it lets the receiver know who in the house is invited (e.g., if their kids are welcome, etc.)...

    I think it's worth the $22.

    The main reason I'm getting them is to specify exactly who is invited; we don't have a lot of wiggle room on our guest list, so some of our invitees just need it spelled out for them.

    Just putting Mr. Singlecousin or Mr. and Mrs. Coworker on the outer envelope isn't going cut it, unfortunately. After we sent out STD's, people started asking if everyone's getting +1's or if everyone's kids are invited, etc. So that's where the inner envelope comes in, and hopefully they'll get the point.


    (That all sounds horribly snotty, sorry.)

    I agree with PP...inner envelopes clarify who all is invited.
