My DH purchased my e-ring and wedding band from Osterman's and he purchased the service plan to go with everything. Well... I would strongly suggest that everyone purchase this extra security if their jeweler offers this. I somehow managed to chip the main stone on my e-ring and Osterman's is putting a completely new 1 ct. stone in the setting for me. They are also tightening a couple of loose diamonds on the band itself. There is no additional charge over the original service plan price. It was painless, easy, and no questions asked. I think I would have literally cried right then and there if we had to pay for a new stone, or keep the damaged one.
I now have to wait 4-6 weeks to get my ring back. I also have the e-ring and the wedding band soldered together, so I don't have either.
DH laughed at me because I was upset about my naked finger and I went out and bought a cubic zirconia fake to wear in the meantime! Ha!
