Up-Lighting and Reception Time

Hi everyone,

Wanted to get your thoughts on this. So my reception is May 18 and cocktail hour begins at 5. I am concerned because sun won't be setting until ~8pm and the lighting guy had originally stated I was really only paying for about 2 hours of uplighting. At the time I decided I really wanted uplighting but now that I am reevaluated my budget, I am wondering if I should just forget about it. :(

    I'm getting married same day... Reception actually starts earlier than yours... My DJ is doing the uplighting as well and he indicated it would still have an impact, even with daylight. I suppose it depends on your reception space... For me, I decided it was worth it... I'm doing purple uplighting through dinner (my color theme is purples and blues) and then changing multi-colors for dancing...
