Good things happening to WWers

I'm going to pull a NOLA and ask everyone to post something good that's happened to them and other WWers lately.  Big, small, or otherwise, even if it's just a silver lining to an awful thing that's happening to you.

Ever since Ww left us, things have been falling apart left and right, like she was our shield from all things evil.  SO, I'll start a list here (in no particular order):

* Mrs. Myrtle has a job interview today
* 6's M1 and M2 slept pretty damn well last night
* Mrs.Conn had a beautiful healthy baby boy yesterday
* Min had a good weekend with her mom & got some "it's not as bad as we thought" news
* L&R is having her miracle baby
* DB1 and DB2 are happy and healthy, and DB2 is finally starting to talk (some)

Your turn. GO!

I friended a guy from middle school on FB even though I didn't really remember him. Turns out, he knows someone in publishing, and is passing on my info and my sample chapters.

Mr. Loverman is happy and healthy and sleeps through the night for the most part.

I worked out a part time work schedule that allows me to be home with Mr. Loverman 2 days per week as well as bring him to my office as necessary.

Wolverine was born healthy (despite being 6 weeks early). DK got a job less than 4 months after the move. My job is going well - I got a raise and boss recommended me for a promotion (waiting on approval.) We are all enjoying life in TX.

My DH got to keep his finger.

DD is starting to talk more, which helps my sanity.  Instead of screaming when she wants something, she now says a few words about it.  Much easier.

I recently started another bookkeeping position.  This work-from-home thing is wonderful and I can't believe I never thought it was possible.  I'm able to be completely present for my kids and family while still having somewhat of a work-life.  While I love being home, I also love having something for myself that doesn't involve my kdis.

My potential good thing - it looks like after having them for the past 3 years, there will be no furloughs or salary reductions for the coming fiscal year.  There won't be raises either, but after having not made my full salary for this long, it'll almost feel like a raise.  We should find out for sure in the next 2 weeks, but I'm feeling confident about it.

After getting two new bras in CA, I looked for more online and was able to get two more for about the price of one.

    *I 've lost 22 pounds since 1/1/11

    * I haven't bitten a nail off since 1/1/11

    * Last week I went to five (!!) social events/gatherings, each with people I really like and count as friends in this little town

    * I mowed the yard yesterday and I'm only feeling slightly resentful about it because the weather was so nice.

*A happy relationship is on the horizon.  One day.  This Leg isn't rushing anything.  But it's nice to have that door open now.
*Since DD's surgery in November, she has been super healthy.
*I have some of the best IRL and interwebs friends ever.
*While I am presently at devastation level about some things, the silver linings keep shining through and making every day better.  Today's - H is home miserably sick, and I don't have to care/check on him/make him my main concern today.
*I am going to dinner tonight with the girls, and possibly drinks after with the non-preggos.

It's hard to beat taw's DH getting to keep his finger...

I have a job I really like that allows me a lot of flexibility.   And I'm working almost full-time.   Or at least as many hours as I want to be working.
I have a healthy, funny, sweet, cute, smart and all around awesome little girl who is quickly becoming not so little.

What a good first post to pop in on! This is a great idea, DG. Nola's posts are always spot on in helping me "see the light" when I'm feeling dark... even if I have to read them hours later and don't post to tell her thanks for her messages!

~H got the job offer, at the salary he wanted, and is really enjoying it so far.
~Friday is my last day of work until August
~Amelia hasn't had to be put in ultimate time-out (her crib) at daycare in almost 2 weeks
~Julian will be here no later than Monday of next week!

My stable, reliable tenant renewed her lease for another year, so I don't have to worry about covering two mortgages from my salary.

I had to contact two Amazon sellers in the past couple of weeks about issues with my order, and got great customer service and free replacements.

I managed to make it back here, which I realize now I missed horribly. I wish I had just posted earlier instead of allowing myself to drift back to lurker status and then off the face of WW.

    Good topic!

-DH and I were gifted with a sweet, healthy little girl born med-free.
-Said little girl sleeps 7-8 hours a night, smiles and coos with this adorably odd gutteral noise.
-I'm turning a corner and actually enjoying my leave and the time with my little girl
-I'm looking at making a transfer at work.  That's not locked in yet, but things are gelling with that nicely.  I've really gotten to be friendly with the group I'm trying to transfer into, I'll likely get some job flexibility not allotted with my current position and possibly a pay increase.
-Aside from DH's laziness, he is turning into a wonderful, loving father, and I love him all the more for it.
    - We made a killing on tax return this year.

I'm happy, healthy, and with someone I adore

I'm closer now to figuring out what I want out of life than I have ever been before, and that is huge for me.

    - I'm glad we decided that we would stay home. I've been able to see some of Adam's "Firsts".

    - I started selling Stella & Dot jewelry. It's just a little something fun to do on the side and bring in some funny money.

    - I'm meeting with our neighbor's bookkeeper on Friday. She's getting ready to retire in a couple of years so we're going to talk about working together and me possibly taking over when she does retire.

    - We started work on our kitchen pantry. When it's done I'll have tons of storage and a place to hide all my countertop appliances. This is the first step of our kitchen remodel.

    - We got an amazing deal on some patio furniture this weekend.

    - I will be spending a week in St. Thomas in a little less than a month.

    - I have less than 3 months left at my current job, where I am just burned out.  It will be a big adjustment, but I am very much looking forward to being a SAHM for at least a little while.

    What a nice post.

-I'm happy to know people that say things like "DH gets to keep his finger."

    - I have made some friends.

    - DH and I are committed to family outings this summer instead of being a slave to the house.

    - I'm getting a new kitchen.

i cannot stop laughing at the "dodged bullets."

i know i am blessed that dh and i rarely fight and that we laugh and laugh about it after the fact.  (when i showed him the post last night, he was all, "give me the internet and i will set a few things straight!")

i fell asleep last night before anyone pooted.

the mangoes this year are particularly delicious.

dh and i are getting a babysitter and going out this weekend.  i am excited to wear some of my nice clothes again.

H and I decided last weekend to buy a house. It'll take some work, and first we have to sell our two existing places, but we're both really excited that we have a plan. And we're stupidly giddy about the idea of our first home together. I've been talking to realtors and mortgage brokers non-stop for the past 2 days.

H's job is going really, really well. He was just given approval to hire 4 guys to report to him, and it's possible they'll be moving other people under him as well. I'm really proud of him and happy for him.

We've also decided that I should keep at the craft thing full-time for the forseeable future. It's kindof awesome to be able to do what I love with full support from H, even knowing it will take some time to make any real money from it.

-I have Thursday off work and it's supposed to be 80 momofarking degrees. I'm so excited that I'll actually get to mow my lawns and be outside.

-Dh's job gave him more hours

    -I look cute today.

-The nude pumps I ordered last week will be on my doorstep when I get home ::fist pump::

    - I think we found a new car. It's an 08 Toyota Yaris and it's black and it's cute. We're the first on the list for it at the dealership after it gets out of the shop (it was a trade it and they have to detail it and check it's junkdrawer out)

p.s. Thanks for this. I've been surrounded by a lot of negativity lately (most of it my own) and it took me all morning to think of these things and it made me feel so much better that I COULD think of something!

    oh!
It's Tuesday and Tuesday means $1 frozen yogurt plus all of the toppings I can fit in a cup! I plan to go at lunch and also after work. Yes.
