  Honestly it really depends on where you go, where you're located and what kind of style/makeup you're getting done.
  
  I would find a couple of people you'd like to do your hair/makeup and compare prices/services.
  
  My hair and makeup was about 100 or so and both included a trial. I went into the salon. If you're wanting them to travel to you, you'll have to see how much that'll also cost.

  Hi NcsuPsych!  It will be in cary or downtown raleigh. I've asked a few and they are all 200+ not including trails - which is another 100 for most of them.  It's just so expensive!

  I'd keep looking then if you've got the time. Possibly, if you have a salon you regularly go to, see if they offer the services you're looking for.
  
  I know when I was planning, 200+ wasn't in the budget for hair and makeup and I was really glad to find my salon that did my hair and makeup. I now go back there regularly and love them

  Yeah, I go to Salon Bliss in Fuquay NC. It's about 20 mins or so outside of Raleigh.
  Dara did my hair and Caroline did my makeup. Both did an amazing job and I still use Dara for my regular haircuts. I haven't been in a while, so I'm due to go back soon.
  
  I think Caroline is out for maternity leave, but they have other ladies there that Im sure can do an equally great job!

  A friend of mine got married recently and she used Karen Michelle Clark for her make up and she and her entire bridal party look beautiful.  I think she only does make up but for the bride it's $65 for day of and an additional $50 if you want a trial.

  i have a mary kay consultant for all day primping me for 150 and yes includes trial.  and hair is 50 dollars.  just a local salon!
